The implementation covered several dozen of sales representatives and managers, and is another implementation of an Asseco Busine Solutions mobile system for a foreign client in Central and Eastern Europe.
The implementation of EBI Mobile was put in place to improve the management of mobile sales force. Apart from the standard modules, such as the status of orders, product inventory at the points of sale, survey, monitoring, budgeting for POS materials, the system included order confirmation messaging directly to the sales representative's mobile device, as well as the ability to access information on the actual degree of order execution by the distributor. This solution streamlines the cooperation of the sales representative with a chosen retailer. The managers can review current data on the effects of their mobile staff’s activities, based on the distributor's actual sales figures.
Additionally, the implementation focused on expanding the mobile system functions responsible for promotional sales, and modules supporting the field sales force in collecting and analysing data on the presence of the competition at points of sale (shelf share, display photos, price monitoring).
The system has been deployed on mobile devices, such as PDA, and is delivered in the full outsourcing model, i.e. SaaS (Software as a Service).
It is worth noting that the project involved the integration of Asseco EBI Mobile with several data sources used by the client: partnering distributors and the client's ERP system. This allowed a set-up of the operational reporting process within Asseco EBI Mobile at the level of three countries, as well as unification of sales methods, customer service and the mobile sales staff performance evaluation.
